The Bucket

So the other night Louis is playing in the living room with dad and playing with his blue sand bucket, he loves putting trucks and stuff in it and carrying it around the house (sort of like a purse for boys, don't tell Brian I said that !) He discovered that it fit on his head like a hat and that was pretty entertaining for about 5 minutes. Then he discovered that he could put it over his head and it was like hide-and-seek, he got so excited that he put it on his head, turned around, and took off running across the house, that is until he ran into the dining room table and fell over. Now that is a new game.

Stinky

So for halloween Louis was a skunk, thanks Carrie for the hand me down costume it fit great! He did very well, even kept the hat on and had a lot of fun trick or treating.

Misc. Pics

Here are just some fun pictures that we take from day to day. Not sure why some are bigger and some are little but I am looking into that.

Cabin

We took anther trip up to the cabin in the woods in October and Louis helped out with building the new garage!!!! We also took some fun fall pictures out in the woods.

First Hair Cut

Just before his birthday Louis got his first haircut, it went very well but he already needs another one.

Turning the BIG "1"

Louis is now a big boy, he had his first birthday about a month ago and had a ball. There were a lot of little kids at his party and all boys, someone in our group needs to have some girls! But it is nice that they can all have play friends around their same age. The cake went pretty well, he wasn't sure what to think at first but once he started he enjoyed himself. Grandpa Peterson finally got to give Louis ice cream! The reaction on both of their faces was memorable. The tractor war continues in our household, Louis got a peddle tractor that was International and a handmade rocking horse that was John Deere yellow and green. All in all it was a great day.

Tractor Pull

Louis went to his first tractor pull at the county fair and Grandpa Peterson was in it, he had a lot of fun cheering him on. He was not such a big fan of the ear protection though.

Animals

We have had a lot of fun playing outside this summer, the dogs are very gentle with Louis, even when she pulls their ears and he also got 2 new kittens.

4th of July

We were camping over the 4th, Louis was on the move a lot more, he was either riding on or walking behind his Tomater. He went swimming again and it was a lot more fun this time. He even got a little adventerous and tried going into deeper water.

On The Move

Well, Louis has the whole crawling thing down to a science and is getting mighty good at pulling himself up and getting into the cupboard or garbage or anything that he can.

Memorial Day

We went camping on memorial day in Waseca. Louis did great for his first camping trip, he went boating and he even got to go swimming for the first time, it wasn't much fun at first but after a little bit it was just like the bath tub, rubber ducky and all.

The Farm

We have all been busy on the farm, everything is pretty much in and we need rain, the sprinklers are getting tired and so is the littlest farmer!!

BUSY....BUSY.....

Well, this spring has been very busy as usual, we are getting the garden in and spending more time outside. Louis enjoys it most of the time but gets mad when we don't let him play in the dirt. With all of the farming going on Louis has started dressing like his Grandpa Peterson, flannel all the way! He is now eating in his big highchair and drinking from a sippy cup better everyday. He has also been able to play and hangout with his cousins a little more often. He always on the move now "almost" crawling all over the house.

Easter

Louis's 1st easter was a success, he has a very busy weekend. We were at Grandma and Grandpa Nielsen's on Saturday and then Grandma and Grandpa Peterson's on Sunday. We did swinging, rode in a wagon, went to church in our new outfit and met the farm animals. He slept very well that night.

Chickens

We are expanding the farm and have added 20 laying hens to the family. Louis hasn't quite named them all yet!

Beautiful Day

It was a gorgeous day here yesterday and we got out with Mom and Jess and got to use our new stroller for the first time. We had a great walk other than the sun being in Louis's eyes but Auntie Jess took care of that!!!

Cabin

We were up at Mom & Dad's cabin in Askov last weekend with some friends and Louis did not want to go back home!!!

Sick Little Guy

I have to apologize for not posting for a while, we had a rough couple of weeks at our house, everyone but Brian had some sick days. Louis ended up with a slight double ear infection and RSV, she did the antibiotics and nebs for 10 days and is much better now. We go back to the doctor next week. He was a tough little guy through it all

Trying Solid Food

We went to the doctor on Wednesday and Louis gained almost 1 pound, he now weight 13lb 6oz. But is still a little too skinny so they suggested that we start solid foods, I don't think that much of the rice cereal stays in his mouth but he sure like chewing on the spoon!

Big Birthday Party

Louis found new toys at Hayden's birthday party in Brainerd this weekend! He loves the John Deere!
